Launcher
Phone and Communications
The Phone page gives you communication features directly in your launcher.
How to Open:
- Swipe up from the bottom-right of the screen (default gesture — configurable in Settings > Gestures)
- Assign 'Phone' to any shortcut in your theme
5 Tabs:
1. Favorites — Your starred contacts. One tap to call.
2. Recents — Your call history with color-coded types: green (incoming), blue (outgoing), red (missed). Tap to call back.
3. Contacts — Searchable contact list. Search by name or number.
4. Keypad — Numeric dialpad for manual dialing.
5. Messages — Messages captured from your phone's messaging apps (Google Messages, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, etc.). Each message has a speaker button for text-to-speech read-aloud.
Incoming Calls:
When a call comes in, a full-screen call overlay appears with Answer and Decline buttons. During active calls: Mute, DTMF keypad, Hold, and End Call controls.
Message Notifications:
New messages show a banner on the screen. Enable 'Read messages aloud' in Settings to have them spoken via text-to-speech automatically. Music volume ducks while the message is read. Banner duration and position are configurable in Settings > Notifications.
Bluetooth Notes:
Contact sync depends on your head unit's Bluetooth capabilities. Standard Android head units use PBAP to sync contacts and call history from your phone. Some head units (like FYT/BLINK-based units) use a separate Bluetooth module — contact availability may be limited to recent callers.
Permissions Required:
- Contacts & Call Log (for favorites, recents, contacts)
- Notification Listener (for message capture)
- Set as Default Dialer (for answer/reject/hold controls)
